AC repair in Richland and the Tri-Cities
When the AC can't keep up with the heat, AirCare traces the fault with gauges and a meter before anything gets replaced. Same-day service is available when the schedule allows, and the line is answered 24 hours a day.
Chapter 01
What gives out first when a Tri-Cities summer leans on the AC
Once the triple-digit afternoons arrive in Richland, the outdoor unit runs for hours without a rest, and the parts that wear are the small ones that everything else depends on. The capacitor gives the compressor and fan their starting kick. The contactor switches them on. The refrigerant charge carries heat out of the house. An iced-over coil, a system that runs all day and never catches up, or a unit that hums and does nothing usually traces back to one of those three.
Rem F put it plainly in a Google review: “Called with a HVAC system that couldn't keep up with this heat. They came out same day, found the problem to be the capacitor and low refrigerant.” That is the typical pairing in a hot summer, a worn part and a charge that has slipped, and both are fixed on site when the truck is stocked for it.
If the cooling quits at night or on a weekend, call (509) 579-9979. The 24/7 line is answered, and a technician gets scheduled whatever the hour.

Fieldpiece manifold gauges hung on a Carrier condenser during a diagnosis
How the diagnosis runs before anything is replaced
A proper AC diagnosis starts with the numbers. Manifold gauges go on the condenser to read pressures, a meter checks the capacitor and the electrical side, and airflow across the indoor coil gets looked at too. Low refrigerant in a sealed system always means a leak somewhere, so topping it up without finding the source only buys a few weeks before the house warms up again.
Jonny C described that kind of job on AirCare's own site: “There was a leak in my system, releasing the refrigerant, which resulted in an uncomfortably warm home. Aircare Heating and Air Conditioning came out, diagnosed the issue, and repaired the leak.” Finding the leak, rather than guessing at it, is the part that keeps the repair from coming back.
You get the findings in plain language, along with what it will take to fix. Estimates are reviewed with you before work begins, so nothing gets done that you did not approve.
Chapter 03
Repair or replace, with every option laid out
Most repairs are completed during the same visit. When a part has to be ordered, you find out that day rather than after a week of silence. Rem F's review noted the other half of that: the technician “Had the parts in his van to do the job and had our AC working again quickly.”
Sometimes the honest answer is that the system is past repairing, and sometimes it is a cheaper fix than you feared. Linda E. wrote that “They gave us all options and didn't talk us into the most expensive. Trevor gave us his honest opinion and when all said and done, we were very happy with our decision.” If more than one reasonable path exists, you hear all of them, including the one that costs less.
Pricing is flat-rate and transparent, and the repair call is run by the people who own the company: Trevor Nelson, often with his brother Cameron. If a replacement does turn out to make sense, the related pages below cover installation and what a tune-up can do to extend the next system's life.
