24/7 Emergency AC Repair in Richland, WA

When the AC quits in a Tri-Cities heat wave, you should not have to wait for office hours to talk to a person. The line at (509) 579-9979 is answered day and night, and a technician gets scheduled.

Chapter 01

When a dead AC is an emergency in the Tri-Cities

In Richland, an air conditioner that quits in October is an inconvenience. In a Columbia Basin heat wave it is something else. Once the house is climbing past what anyone can sleep through, and there are small kids, older relatives or pets inside, waiting for a convenient appointment stops making sense. That is what the 24/7 line is for.

VeJohn H. put it plainly: “My AC went out overnight during a 100-degree heatwave. Air Care Heating & Cooling came out that morning and fixed it quickly.” Jennifer B. had the same kind of night: “Called them at midnight and they were like we will be there tomorrow morning! Does 8:00 a.m. work? They were here. They got it fixed.”

We do not quote a response time, because what you can count on is that the phone gets answered. Those two customers called at different hours, and each one talked to a person and ended up with a visit on the schedule.

Three checks to run before you call

Some AC outages are a thirty-second fix, and it is worth ruling them out first. Start at the thermostat: confirm it is set to cool, the set temperature is below the room temperature, and the display is on. A blank screen often means dead batteries or a tripped safety switch, not a dead system.

Next, the breaker panel. The outdoor condenser and the indoor air handler usually have their own breakers, and either one can trip in a heat wave. If a breaker is off, switch it back on once. If it trips again, leave it off and call, because a breaker that will not hold is telling you something is wrong with the equipment.

Last, the filter. A filter packed with Columbia Basin dust can starve the system of air and freeze the indoor coil, and then the AC blows warm no matter how hard it runs. A clean filter in the slot is a good habit, and a thick grey one is worth swapping before you do anything else. If the checks do not bring the cold air back, call the line at (509) 579-9979 and tell the person what you found.

Chapter 03

How the 24/7 line works

AirCare is locally owned and small enough that the owner still runs service calls. When you call, someone picks up, and a technician gets scheduled, whatever time it is. Trevor Nelson and his brother Cameron are the names that come up in most of our reviews, because they are usually the ones doing the work.

On the visit, the findings are explained in plain language, along with what it will take to fix. Estimates are reviewed with you before work begins, and if there is more than one reasonable path you hear all of them, including the one that costs less. Pricing is flat-rate and transparent, with no surprises after the fact.

Rem F. wrote that they came out the same day, found a bad capacitor and low refrigerant, and had the parts in the van to get the AC working again. If the problem needs a part we do not have on hand, you find out that day, not after a week of silence. For repairs that turn into something bigger, see our AC repair and AC installation pages.
